Here at CVNT, as in life, we resist easy answers. We resist simple definitions. We reject false divisions of sex & gender deemed “immutable biological reality” by servants of patriarchy, wealth, & white supremacy. We invite the multitudinous & undefinable. In short, we seek to publish work by trans writers who now exist under a global fascist revival in which people who would otherwise be our peers & leaders constantly act to silence our community at large, determining us incompatible with their interpretation of human life. As a politically vulnerable group, we invite writers to submit anonymously if they wish, and we will never list a public masthead. To that end, we invite volunteers willing to aid in the magazine’s function to contact us as well (through our encrypted email service, Proton). While CVNT encourages submissions from writers belonging to communities in which traditional conceptions of “feminine” or “masculine” (or neither, or both) differ from the Euro-American binary gender conventions, our staff can currently only consider submissions written in English (unless creative justification exists for partially multilingual work & the author is willing to work editorially with an enthusiastic but majority English-speaking staff).
